Libraries of the Hartford Line

Did you know you can use your CT library card at any library in the state? Travel by train and explore the libraries of the Hartford Line for a chance to win a library swag bag! —And pick up other prizes along the way!

Each library along the Hartford Line is just a short scenic walk (20 minutes or less) from their town’s train station. Drive, bike or walk to your closest station and enjoy the benefits of public transit as you ride the rails through central Connecticut. Disembark at each stop to discover the unique characteristics and services found at each library, from delightful children’s rooms and exciting teen lounges to busy maker spaces and cozy reading rooms.

Pick up a guide book at one of four participating libraries for more information and to begin your journey: Wallingford Public Library, Meriden Public Library, Hartford Public Library, or Windsor Public Library. Then show your train tickets at each of the four participating libraries to receive a stamp and small prize. Once you receive all four stamps, return the guide book to any of the participating libraries by Oct 7th to be eligible for the grand prize drawing. Check each library’s website for hours.
