VIRTUAL & IN-PERSON MEETING
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
First published in 1925, this novel of the American Jazz Age is the story of the mysteriously wealthy Jay Gatsby and his love for the beautiful Daisy Buchanan, who is married to the millionaire Tom Buchanan, and of Gatsby’s friendship with Daisy’s cousin Nick Carraway, who moves to Long Island in 1922, eager to leave his native Midwest and WWI behind. Fitzgerald’s third book is widely considered one of the greatest American novels of the 20th century.
