Celebrate Asian and Pacific American heritage month with plantains, versatile fruits that can be eaten savory and/or sweet. Plantains originate from Southeast Asia and Oceania, and have become a staple of Caribbean and Latin American Cuisine—truly an Asian/Pacific American fruit! Our caramelized plantains, or maduros, will be accompanied by vanilla ice cream which will be made using ice cream salt and ice to scientifically cool the cream into our desired texture!
