VIRTUAL & IN-PERSON MEETING
Breathing Lessons by Anne Tyler
Maggie and Ira Moran are on a road trip from Baltimore, Maryland to Deer Lick, Pennsylvania to attend the funeral of a friend. Along the way, they reflect on the state of their marriage, through their quarrels, their routines and their ability to tolerate each other’s faults with patience and affection. Set over the course of one emotionally fraught day, Tyler’s 1988 novel won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1989.
Moderated by Readers Advisory Librarian Cindy Haiken. For details about meeting virtually or in-person, contact Cindy Haiken at chaiken@wallingfordlibrary.org.
