Join art historian and educator Bernadine Franco on a visual journey celebrating six revolutionary 20th-century Modern artists! We will explore the lives and greatest works of impressionist Henri Matisse; Pablo Picasso, the pioneer of Cubism; Georgia O’Keeffe, the mother of American Modernism; Surrealist Frida Kahlo; Pop and performance artist Andy Warhol; and Cindy Sherman, the shape-shifting photographer. Franco will highlight the impact each artist had on their respective movements and eras. Additionally, an optional free museum tour will take place on Saturday, April 18th, time and location to be determined at a future date.
This is a hybrid program; patrons have the option of attending in-person at the library or virtually on Zoom. Registration is required - please sign up below!
