Steps of Tradition: A South Indian Dance Performance

Join us for a vibrant celebration of Asian & Pacific American Heritage Month! Sarada Nori, Artistic Director of Layavinyasa School of Music, will perform a South Indian classical dance while interweaving stories from Indian festivals and ancient Hindu scriptures, enhanced by visuals and expressive hand gestures that bring the narratives to life. The program will include interactive segments where audiences are invited to learn and participate in the festive folk dance "Dandia Raas" and try hand gestures or "mudras" from classical dances.
