Sipsworth by Simon Van Booy

An 8o-something-year-old woman who has lost her husband and son returns to the small English village where she was raised after spending decades living abroad. She simply wants to be alone, but one day, she discovers that a small mouse has moved in. Over the course of the following two weeks, the reclusive widow suddenly discovers a reason to live. Van Booy’s 2024 novel is a short and whimsical reminder that goodness can appear from unexpected places.
