Smith, an award-winning American poet, explores the blindsiding end of her marriage and the renewal of selfhood.  Through a series of lyrical vignettes, part memoir, part creative nonfiction, Smith offers nonlinear narrative fragments that add up to something greater: “I am not half of anything. What I am is singular. Whole.”
