Celebrate Earth Month with a deep dive into one of the most fascinating and fragile parts of our planet! Coral reefs are a beautiful and vital ecosystem teeming with life and essential for ocean health and sustainability. Jeff Cinciripino, a scuba diver who has traveled the globe observing and capturing the beauty and diversity of the underwater world, will share photos of coral reefs he has taken along his adventures. He will also explore the anatomy of coral reefs, the variety of marine life that inhabit them, and why they are critically important, as well as the threats they face and what steps we can take to make a difference.
This is a hybrid event; patrons have the option of attending in-person at the library or virtually on Zoom. Registration is required - please sign up below!
In addition to being an accomplished scuba diver and photographer, Jeff Cinciripino is the former owner of Scuba Shack (originally in Rocky Hill, CT) and is the founder and president of the Scuba Educational Alliance of Connecticut, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a new generation of ocean stewards.
