Program Description

Event Details

When did your immigrant ancestors first arrive in America? Al Fiacre, Senior Researcher at the Godfrey Memorial Library, will teach you how to locate genealogical records from various regions of the United States. Different resources can help place where your early ancestors emigrated from and distinguish between 18th, 19th, and early 20th century arrivals. As government records evolve, they can also tell you more about the work opportunities each ancestor sought, when they married, how many children they had, and where they were buried.
